PostSubject: A free resource for vintage, dramatized bible stories   Fri Jan 15, 2010 8:49 pm

A couple of years ago I discovered a site called Kiddie Records Weekly. It's a site dedicated to converting old kids records into mp3 files for FREE download.

All of these records are from the 40s and 50s so they do have a rather quaint and vintage sound. And most are non-religious, but below is a list of Bible stories I have downloaded from the site. I may never get around to developing drawings to go with these, but hey, you never know.

1. Story of Jesus featuring Claude Rains. From week 6, 2006. 21:00 min

2. Story of the Nativity featuring Gene Autry. 1950. From week 51, 2006. 12 min.

3. Bible Stories for Children: Joseph & His Coat of Many Colors plus David & Goliath. From week 10, 2009. 13 min. (combined time)

4. Moses In the Bulrushes featuring Claude Rains. From week 10, 2009. 6:28 min.

Other Christmas Stories (not Bible stories)

5. Why the Chimes Rang featuring Ted Malone. From week 48, 2005. 13:30 min.

6. A Christmas Carol featuring Basil Rathbone. From week 51, 2007. 23:45 min.

7. The Small One featuring Bing Crosby. From week 51, 2009. 12:58 min.

Here's the link to the site:

Enjoy!
